Obtaining Information About Available Text Encodings

The number and kind of text encodings that the Text Encoding Converter supports depend on the conversion plug-ins currently installed in the user's system. Conversion plug-ins support conversion between encodings and are installed in the Text Encodings folder within the System Folder. For information about writing plug-ins, see Writing Custom Plug-Ins .
